In the remote region of Zanskar, climate change is pushing Himalayan brown bears closer to villages, where they raid food and kill livestock, creating fear and hardship for locals. As conflict grows, the Snow Leopard Conservancy India Trust steps in with awareness, technology, and sustainable solutions—working to protect both people and bears while restoring hope.
Himachal Pradesh is facing erratic rainfall and dry spells, affecting farming. Millets are re-emerging as a climate-resilient, nutritious crop.Since 2023, the HIM RRA Network’s “Taking Millets to Millions” campaign has supported 2,000+ farmers through Millet Fellows, promoting traditional practices, conserving local seeds, and strengthening climate-resilient agriculture.
Set in the stunning landscapes of Gangotri, Uttarakhand, this film highlights a region known for pilgrimage and apple farming, where nature-based tourism remains untapped. It follows Titli Trust and the Taknaur Hills Conservation Society as they promote ecotourism through nature experiences—encouraging communities to protect their environment while building sustainable livelihoods.

The Last Otters of Kashmir (Ongoing Project) Supported by the RG Sustain Grant, this film follows the search for Eurasian otters in Kashmir, highlighting their disappearing presence and the need to protect their fragile wetland habitats.

Sheikh Harris is a wildlife photographer and filmmaker based in Kashmir, India. With over five years of experience working as a freelance photographer and videographer, he has worked across commercial, wedding, and product photography while continuing to document wildlife, landscapes, and culture.
Harris is a Green Hub Fellow and has received formal training in conservation filmmaking. He has worked on documentary projects with multiple organizations, focusing on environmental issues and human–wildlife relationships. His work includes films on human–bear conflict in Zanskar and wetlands conservation in Kashmir.
His visual storytelling is deeply inspired by the landscapes of the Himalayas and the wildlife of the Kashmir Valley. He is currently working on a documentary film on the Eurasian otter in Kashmir, supported by a grant from RG Sustain.

Working as an independent photographer and videographer across wildlife, commercial, wedding, and product projects. Collaborated with filmmakers and organizations on multiple documentary and conservation projects, while also producing commercial videos and visual content for various companies and brands. My work focuses on documenting landscapes, wildlife, culture, and stories from the Himalayan region.
